Weighted Blanket Guide · Singapore
A Queen weighted blanket in Singapore measures 210 × 210 cm and comes in two weights: 7 kg or 9 kg. The rule of thumb is simple. Pick the weight closest to 10% of your body weight if you sleep solo, or about 7% of your combined weight if you're sharing. That's the only math you really need.
The blanket is bigger than your mattress on purpose. At 210 × 210 cm, it drapes generously past your Queen mattress (152 × 190 cm) on every side. No awkward gaps, no tucking required. Below, we'll help you pick between 7 kg and 9 kg, show you what fits which bed, and answer the question everyone asks before buying: is this going to be too hot for Singapore? (Short version: no, and we'll explain why.)
Our Queen weighted blanket comes in 210 × 210 cm with a choice of 7 kg or 9 kg. The 100% cotton outer breathes in Singapore's heat (we designed it for the tropics), and the lead-free glass-bead fill stays put through the night. No shifting weight, no rustling, no overheating.

Weight Guide
Getting the weight right matters more than getting the size right. Too light and it just feels like a regular blanket. Too heavy and you'll find yourself pushing it off at 3 a.m. The 10% rule below gets it right for most people.
If you're between 60–80 kg sleeping solo, or sharing with a combined weight of 85–105 kg. We also nudge first-timers towards 7 kg. It's easier to get used to, and you can always size up to 9 kg later if you find yourself wanting more pressure.
If you're between 80–100 kg solo, or sharing with a combined weight of 110–130 kg. The heavier 9 kg also tends to work better if you're using the blanket for insomnia or anxiety. Within the 10% range, more pressure usually means deeper, faster sleep.
Couples use about 7% of combined body weight. That's slightly lower than the solo rule, since both bodies share the load. If your weights are more than 25 kg apart though, two separate blankets work better than one shared. That way nobody's pinned down or under-pressured.
Go lighter. A blanket that feels too heavy ends up folded in the cupboard; a slightly lighter one still does most of the work. The right weight should feel like a firm hug, not a press.
Mattress Fit
Quick note before we get into the details: weighted blankets aren't sized to your mattress like a fitted sheet. They sit on top with generous side coverage, closer to a duvet than a bottom sheet.
Recommended
152 × 190 cm
On a Singapore Queen, the blanket drapes about 29 cm down each side and 20 cm past the foot of the bed. The right kind of generous, not so much that it pools on the floor.
Also fits
140–150 × 200 cm
European Queens are a touch narrower than Singapore Queens, so the blanket drapes even more generously. No size adjustment needed if you've imported an IKEA Queen frame.
Consider sizing up
Or Super King (200 × 200 cm)
On a King or Super King, a Queen weighted blanket only drapes about 13 cm on each side. It works, but it'll look a bit undersized. Go for the King weighted blanket (250 × 210 cm) for proper coverage on a bigger bed.

Common Scenarios
Five situations our customers ask us about most. Find yours, take the recommendation, sleep better.
10% of 65 kg is 6.5 kg, so round up to 7 kg. You'll feel the calming pressure without ever feeling pinned down.
→ Queen 7 kgCombined weight is 135 kg, so 7% lands at about 9.5 kg. Round down to 9 kg. If your weights are very different (more than 25 kg apart), two separate blankets work better than one shared.
→ Queen 9 kg10% of 90 kg is 9 kg. Heavier pressure helps muscles relax more deeply, which can take the edge off chronic pain. Pair it with a Signature TENCEL™ duvet cover so you stay cool while the blanket does its work.
→ Queen 9 kgStart with 7 kg. If you want more pressure later, you can always upgrade. A too-heavy first blanket usually ends up unused in the cupboard.
→ Queen 7 kgIf you're 50 kg and your partner is 90 kg, no single weight is going to work for both of you. The lighter sleeper does best with a Super Single 5 kg, while the heavier sleeper wants a Queen 9 kg. Separate blankets, no compromises.
→ Two blanketsFor a Singapore Queen mattress (152 × 190 cm), a Queen size weighted blanket measuring 210 × 210 cm is the right pick. The blanket is intentionally larger than the mattress so it drapes generously on each side (about 29 cm) without slipping off when you move.
Use the 10% rule for solo sleepers: pick the weight closest to 10% of your body weight. 7 kg suits 60–80 kg sleepers; 9 kg suits 80–100 kg sleepers. For couples sharing the blanket, use roughly 7% of combined body weight. That's typically 9 kg for two adults averaging 65 kg each.
Weavve's weighted blanket uses a 100% high-grade cotton outer and glass-bead filling, both heat-dissipating and breathable. It's designed specifically for tropical climates and works comfortably in air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned rooms alike. For an even cooler finish, pair it with a Signature TENCEL™ Duvet Cover on top.
Pick the weight at about 7% of combined body weight. If both partners are within ~25 kg of each other, a single Queen 9 kg blanket works well. If body weights differ by more, we recommend two smaller blankets so each sleeper gets the right deep-touch pressure. Uneven weight distribution undermines the calming effect.
Hand washing in cold water (≤30°C) is recommended. Machine washing is acceptable for 7 kg blankets. Check your machine's maximum load capacity first. Use gentle detergent only, no bleach, no softeners. Air dry only; never tumble dry, as heat can damage the glass-bead filling. Full instructions in our care guide.
Technically yes, but the side drape will be minimal (about 13 cm). The blanket will look undersized and slip off more easily. For Singapore King (183 × 190 cm) or Super King (200 × 200 cm) mattresses, we recommend the King weighted blanket (250 × 210 cm) for fuller coverage.
Weavve's weighted blankets are not recommended for children under 5 years old. For older children, follow the same 10% body weight rule. A 30 kg child should use a 3 kg blanket, not a Queen size. Always consult a paediatrician if your child has a medical condition.
A duvet is a lightweight insulating insert that goes inside a duvet cover for warmth. A weighted blanket is a heavier blanket (3–11 kg) filled with glass beads, designed for the calming deep-touch-pressure effect rather than warmth. They can be used together. Many customers layer the weighted blanket under a TENCEL™ duvet for the silky-cool top feel plus the comforting weight underneath.
