Ted & Luna

Bamboo Jersey
  • Machine Wash Cold/Lukewarm water
  • Dry flat in shade
  • Do not tumble dry
  • Do not dry clean
  • Do not bleach

  • Bamboo fabric is an extremely absorbent material and gets really heavy when wet. When drying the apparel/bedding, lay flat across a rack to prevent stretching.
  • Refrain from using a dryer to tumble dry as this may cause the apparel/bedding to lose its shape.
  • To further prevent stretching and reduce pilling, you may wish to flip your bamboo apparel/bedding inside out and put them in a laundry net when washing.
  • Drying flat and in the shade will help avoid that 'crisp' texture, if not it should also considerably soften upon wearing. We do not recommend using laundry softeners as the waxy coating present in softeners will interfere with the bamboo apparel/bedding's moisture-wicking and absorption properties.
Solvent-Free Vegan Leather
  • Surface clean only.
  • Do not scrub.
  • Do not machine wash, iron, bleach or dry clean.
  • Do not use harsh detergents, citrus, alcohol, bleach or abrasive cleaners (such as Jif) as they may damage the surface of the mat.
  • Ensure mat is dry before storing.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
  • The quilted mats are water-resistant but not entirely water impermeable due to the quilted stitching – Clean any liquid spills promptly with a towel/ rag/ paper towel.

  • Our vegan leather is stain-resistant but not stain-proof so avoid permanent markers/pens, acrylic paints or anything with a heavy dye. Be careful with some mineral sunscreens as these may stain. Quickly clean any marks by wiping with a baby wipe, paper towel or a damp cloth with mild soap.
  • Vegan Leather does crease - the creases will relax over time with use, but will reappear if the mat is folded to store. Creases are a characteristic of vegan leather and not a defect.

Natural Latex Insert Care (For Playmats)

  • Spot clean natural latex foam with mild soap and water. Your insert should be constantly protected by its cover.
  • If the natural foam is put under direct sunlight or exposed to air for several weeks, it will begin to dry out and become brittle.
  • If your natural foam becomes wet, remove the cover and let the components dry separately indoors.

Wash & Care FAQs

Do I Need To Wash My New Weavve Sheets Before Use?

Always wash new sheets before using. Fresh out of their package, our sheets may appear crisp, clean, and neatly folded. But new bedding can sometimes feel scratchy if not washed before it’s used for the first time. As fine fabrics are generally not pre-washed, this first wash is important for removing stray fibres, softening the sheet, preserving the beauty and prolonging its life.

Tips For Washing Your Sheets

Washing Tip #1: It’s always best to wash bedding in its own load, separate from other laundry. This gives the sheets more room to circulate in the water, which means they’ll be washed more thoroughly. Washing sheets alone also prevents damage caused by zippers and other fasteners, and reduces the amount of piling that can happen over time.

Washing Tip #2: Avoid using high temperatures and use a gentle wash and spin cycle. Choose a cold (30ºC) or warm (40 ºC) water cycle. Choose the gentlest and a shorter cycle ensures that your sheets will not endure as much force, nor withstand excessive soaking. You'll definitely want to avoid both the heavy-duty cycle and extra hot water, as they will only damage and break down the fibres.

“When in doubt, follow the care instructions on the label before laundering.”

Washing Tip #3: Use a gentle detergent, dilute concentrated detergents and skip the bleach to prevent discolouration. Continued use of detergents containing whiteners, bleach, optical brighteners or alkalis can change the colour or weaken fibres over time.

Tips For Drying Your Sheets

Drying Tip #1: Line dry your bedding in soft, outdoor sunlight.

Line-drying is the way to go if you want to keep your bedding as fresh as possible.

This method is the gentlest and doesn’t weaken the fibres.

Do not tumble dry your Weavve sheets as it increases wear and tear of the fabric, increasing the chances of furring and pilling.

Do I Need To Iron My Sheets?

We promise our sheets will feel amazing if ironed but it isn’t necessary. But if you want to bring that pristine hotel look home, it’s worth going the extra mile!

The best time to iron is when the bedding is slightly damp.

For cotton bedding, we recommend ironing with medium heat, and for TENCEL™ Lyocell bedding, use the low heat setting.

The trick with fitted sheets is to iron them on the bed using an extension socket for those hard to reach corners.

"Do be careful if you have a polyester topper or mattress as it might stick, so test a small area first to be on the safe side."

Why Do My Sheets Wrinkle So Much?

Natural fibres will wrinkle, especially Weavve's sheets as we do not treat our sheets with anti-wrinkling chemicals. But there are steps you can take while drying to minimise wrinkling.

To prevent creasing, remove your sheets immediately from the washing machine.

The best way to prevent these creases from forming is to take the sheets out of the washing machine to line dry, as soon as it has finished.

Don't worry, the wrinkles will naturally ease itself out after a night or two of sleeping on it!

“The longer the bedding is left scrunched up in the wash, the more creases it’s likely to get.”

How Often Should I Change My Sheets?

We spend almost a third of our lives on our bedding, leaving behind sweat, body oil, and dead skin cells every night. To keep dust mites and other allergens at bay, sheets should be changed at least once every other week.

“Keep multiple sets of sheets available and alternate between sets to maintain that clean, fresh feeling in your beds.”

Storing Your Weavve Sheets

Keep freshly laundered bedding in a cool, dry and well-ventilated space away from direct sunlight.

"For a little something extra, spritz your sheets with our Pillow Mist."

Why are there fuzz balls on my bedsheet? Why are my sheets pilling?

These fuzz balls, or pills, is a natural occurrence for all fabrics - regardless of the quality of the yarn fibres. It is usually a tiny ball of yarn fibre that forms on the surface of the fabric, usually caused by abrasion on the surface. While different fabrics have different tolerance to pilling, it does not necessarily mean the product is not well made. Oftentimes, TENCEL™, bamboo and silk tend to be more prone to pilling if not properly cared for, due to their extremely soft and silky properties.

"Abrasion can come from shaven body hair, coarse garments, sharp nails, and even using too strong detergents, soaking for an extended amount of time, as well as washing in a higher than recommended temperature."

To reduce pilling through wash and care, we recommend the following:

  1. Flip inside out and we recommend to use a laundry bag
  2. Wash separately from other fabrics, especially cotton, denim and the likes.
  3. Wash in cold or room temperature water.
  4. Use your gentlest wash setting with the lowest spin cycle. (Our TENCEL™ Lyocell sheets dries really quickly!)
  5. Use mild, liquid detergent that contains no bleaching or brightening agents , and dilute concentrated detergent in water. (No powdered detergent, bleach and softeners)
  6. Line dry promptly, do not use a dryer.
