Not all TENCEL™ bed sheets are made the same. Ours retain the purest form of 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres from Lenzing, because that is the luxurious sleep we aim to promise.
TENCEL™ Lyocell fibres wick excess moisture quickly to regulate temperature and enhance breathability, keeping the body cool and dry during sleep. Assuring you a cool night’s sleep with less disruptions.
Thanks to the natural structure of the lyocell fibre, TENCEL™ bed linen is most well known for being exceptionally luxurious and smooth on the skin. Offering a silky smoothfeel that is more gentle than regular cotton and linen, these sheets are suitable even for babies and those with sensitive skin or allergies. Explore our cot sheet range, which includes Signature TENCEL™ Cot Sheets, for unparalleled softness and hypoallergenic comfort for your little one's delicate skin.
The production of TENCEL™ avoids using harsh chemicals to break down its origin material - eucalyptus wood pulps, retaining its hypoallergenic properties far beyond other fibres from regular cotton, bamboo and rayon fabrics. Its naturally quick moisture-wicking property also reduces bacteria proliferation, with our OEKO-TEX® certification, you can rest easy knowing that our bed sheets are kind to your skin and health.
TENCEL™ lyocell bed linen is made from 100% sustainably sourced eucalyptus wood. The water and more than 99% of the chemicals used in the manufacturing process are recycled in a closed- loop process.
TENCEL™ Lyocell is naturally hypoallergenic and gentle on sensitive skin, with a smooth fibre surface that gives dust mites and bacteria less to hold on to.
Every Weavve sheet is Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified, which tests the finished textile for harmful substances, and we make a TENCEL™ cot sheet for exactly this reason.
Yes, 100% TENCEL™ Lyocell with no blends. Lenzing is the Austrian company that owns the TENCEL™ brand and produces the fibre from sustainably sourced eucalyptus in a closed-loop process that recovers almost all of its solvent.
Many "TENCEL™ " sheets on the market are modal or lyocell-cotton blends; ours carries the name because the fibre is theirs, and Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certification because the finished sheet is free from harmful substances.
For anyone who sleeps warm, yes. TENCEL™ Lyocell is smoother than cotton, wicks moisture away from the skin far faster, and stays cool to the touch, which is exactly what Singapore nights ask of a sheet. Ours are 3x more breathable than cotton and 70% more moisture-wicking, rated 4.9 out of 5 by 243 Classic Set reviewers. The price premium buys a cooler, drier night and a fibre that keeps its feel for years with gentle care.
TENCEL™, if cool and dry is the goal. Cotton absorbs sweat but holds on to it, which is why a cotton sheet can feel damp by morning in humid air. TENCEL™ moves that moisture off the skin and dries quickly.
Choose cotton if you love the crisp hotel feel and already sleep comfortably; our TENCEL™ vs cotton guide lays out both sides.
Signature is our finest: 400 single-ply thread count woven from an 80 yarn count thread. Everyday is the same 100% Lenzing TENCEL™ Lyocell in a lighter 300 thread count weave at a friendlier price, ideal for guest rooms, kids' beds and first-time buyers.
For the bed you sleep in every night, choose Signature; for the rest of the house, Everyday.
Yarn count describes how fine the thread is: the higher the number, the finer and silkier the yarn, and 80 is rare in bedding. Thread count is the number of threads per square inch, and it only tells the truth when the threads are single-ply.
Our Signature sheets combine a fine 80 yarn count with an honest 400 single-ply count, which is why they feel lighter and cooler than sheets advertising far bigger numbers built from multi-ply yarn.
Three, and they are worth knowing. They cost more than ordinary cotton. They need gentler care: cold washes, line drying, no bleach or tumble drying. And because the drape is so fluid, they can look softly creased straight off the line rather than starched. If you wash them hot or tumble dry, they can pill or lose their sheen, which is the complaint behind most bad TENCEL™ experiences. Treated well, they last.
Gentle cycle, cold water at or below 30°C, line dry in the shade, no bleach and no tumble drying. Cared for this way they resist pilling and hold their size. Heat is the enemy: hot washes and dryers are what cause pilling and shrinkage in any lyocell sheet. TENCEL™ does soften into a relaxed, lightly creased look off the line; a cool iron or a quick tumble on air, if you must, smooths it.
