Details

Made from natural fibres harvested from the fruits of the Luffa plant, it is excellent for stimulating circulation and exfoliating skin.

These loofah scrubs might appear to be rough on first glance, but do note that they soften under water!

How to Use

Wash Loofah Shower Pad thoroughly with soap before first use.
Before every use, soak or rinse the Loofah Pad in water for 3 - 5 minutes until it expands to its full size and becomes damp and soft.
Lather with your soap of choice, work up a rich lather and massage over your body in gentle, circular motions.
Rinse the Loofah Pad after use and squeeze out excess water.
Hang to dry in a place with good airflow.
The Loofah Pad will shrivel and harden when dried. Soak to reuse.

Be careful around sensitive areas. Make sure to avoid any cuts, bruises or scrapes on your body to avoid irritation. Suitable for use in the bath or shower.

Care

It is important to always rinse the loofah in water thoroughly after each use, to remove any remaining soap or skin that may have collected during your scrub. Gently squeeze off any excess water (do not wring or twist the product as this can damage the fibres) and leave to dry naturally using the hanging loop away in a place with good airflow.

To clean your Loofah Pad

Fill a bucket with hot water.
Mix in vinegar or hydrogen peroxide (1 part solution to 2 parts water is recommended).
Soak loofah for 30 minutes to an hour.
Rinse loofah and wring out excess water.
Hang to dry.

The Loofah Shower Pad should last 6 to 8 weeks with gentle and proper care. Replace pad once it starts to look tired or breaks down.

What are loofahs made of?

Loofah is a natural product and is harvested from the fruits of the Luffa plant. Luffa gourds are grown in tropical and subtropical climates.

After the plant blooms, the flower develops into a long gourd that resembles a giant cucumber or zucchini. The gourds are then harvested and can be left to dry out for up to six months.

Dried gourds are soaked in water, peeled, and their seeds are removed. Once they’re completely dry, they can be sliced, cut, or shaped in a variety of ways before they’re sold as sponges.

Our Loofah Shower Pads are designed with an elastic band for a more ergonomic shower experience.

How often should we replace loofah?

The Loofah Shower Pad should last 6 to 8 weeks with gentle and proper care. Replace pad once it starts to look tired or breaks down, and do sanitise your Loofah regularly.

What is a loofah used for?

People love loofahs because they exfoliate your skin. Dead skin cells sometimes clump around the top layer of your skin, making for a duller and less youthful appearance. Loofahs scrub this layer off gently and without disrupting the young and healthy skin cells underneath.

You can use the loofah on the heels and soles of your feet. A loofah is another exfoliating option when you want to avoid a pumice stone. Be careful if standing in a slippery shower. The circular motion will help remove dead skin cells and is gentler on your skin than scrubbing up and down.

How to clean / sanitise loofah?

Always rinse your loofah after using it. This removes any remaining soap or skin that may have collected during your scrub.

Dry your loofah thoroughly after each use by hanging it or leaving it in the sun. This is extremely important to avoid a buildup of bacteria.

Clean your loofah regularly, at least once a week. To clean your loofah pad,
