Will burn for approximately 36 hours

Directions

Trim wick to ¼ before lighting or remove charred bits before lighting the candle to reduce soot.
Let it burn until the wax is melted to the edge of the pit for the first time to prevent tunnelling.
Light the candle for up to 4 hours maximum each time to maximise scent.
Burn on a level, heat resistant surface.

How do I care for my candle?

The following steps will help you have a better fragrance experience for the subsequent candle burns.

Safely extinguish the candle.
Wait for the wax to cool down.
Trim the wick.
Remove the dirt (burnt residues, match tips etc.) and wipe down the candle container.
Cover the candle with a lid to avoid dust.

How should I store my candle?

Candles should be stored in cool, dry places away from direct sunlight. Cover the candle with a lid to avoid dust.

Why is my candle ‘sweating’?

Our Candles are made from 100% Soy Wax, which are naturally more sensitive to temperature changes due to its low melting point. The natural oils separate from the wax and cause 'Sweating' on the surface of the candle, especially in hot weather. However, sweating caused by temperature change does not affect the quality of the candle, and you can simply wipe the sweat beads off with a paper towel. After that, store your candles in a cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight.

How to prevent candle tunnelling and how to fix a tunnelling candle?

‘Tunnelling’ is when the candle wax directly underneath the flame quickly melts into liquid while the surrounding wax remains hard. Tunnelling is bad because it can drastically reduce the total burn time of your candle.

To lower the chances of your candle tunnelling, burn the candle long enough to let the entire surface of the candle melt before snuffing it out. This is especially important when you burn a candle for the first time.

If your candle is already tunnelling, you can fix it by using an aluminium foil cover to trap and reflect the candle's own heat in order to melt the extra wax. Simply wrap your aluminium foil around the edge of the candle jar, leaving a hole in the middle so that the wick can burn through properly and the flame isn’t blocked. Light your candle and allow it to burn for a couple of hours until the top surface of wax has melted and smoothened over the top layer.

If the above method is not working, you can try using an external heat source (a hair dryer or heat gun) to melt the hardened wax around the edges of the jar until the entire top surface of wax has completely melted and smoothed over. Set your candle aside and let the wax harden over the next few days. Do take extra care not to burn yourself if you are trying this method.

Which is better, Candle or Reed Diffuser?

There are pros and cons to both Candles & Reed Diffusers, but they serve the same basic function of enhancing your space aromatically.

Reed Diffusers are a low-maintenance option to keep a space smelling good. It is also a safer option as there are no open flames that you need to consistently keep an eye on.

Candles can very quickly enhance the space with warmth and cosiness for the perfect ambiance, due to the soft flickering of the flame. However, never leave a candle unattended.

Our scents on its own are not meant to overpower, but if you personally prefer a stronger scent throw, do consider using both products in the same space. However, do take note NOT to place the candle too close to the reed diffuser when lighted - the other table or another corner of the room would be ideal.
