How often should you wash your face towel?

Dermatologists suggest a fresh face towel every one to three uses, and more often if the towel never fully dries, which in Singapore's humidity is most bathrooms. That is why ours come in sets of two: rotate daily, wash the pair together. Both fibres wash at up to 60°C and take a medium tumble dry, so a frequent routine is easy to keep. If your skin is sensitive or eczema-prone, use a fresh towel each time.

Can a dirty face towel cause breakouts?

A damp, well-used towel can harbour bacteria and hold on to oils and product residue, then transfer them back to freshly cleansed skin, which can contribute to breakouts and irritation.

A towel alone is rarely the whole story, but it is one of the easiest factors to fix: keep a towel just for your face, let it dry properly and swap it often. Our silver-infused option adds a layer of assurance by resisting odour-causing bacteria between washes.

Why do I need a separate towel for my face?

Because your hand and bath towels collect everything else first: hand soap residue, hair products, body lotions and the day's general traffic. Facial skin is more reactive than the rest of you, so dermatologists recommend a dedicated face towel that only ever does one job. At 34cm square, a face towel also dries far faster than a full towel, which matters in humid air.

Should you rub or pat your face dry?

Pat, always. Rubbing drags at the skin and can leave it irritated, so the ideal towel is soft, lint-free and absorbent enough to do its work with a light press. Both our fibres are woven for exactly that: the silver-infused cotton in a plush 650 gram weave, the bamboo gentle enough for delicate and sensitive skin.

What size is a face towel?

A face towel is a small square made for the basin: ours measure 34 by 34cm in both fibres. A hand towel is the longer rectangle on the rail, and a bath towel runs 70 by 140cm to wrap the whole body.

Do they come with a hanging loop?

Yes, every hand towel includes a towel loop. Hanging a towel fully open on a hook, rather than folded over a rail, is one of the simplest ways to help it dry faster between uses in this climate.

Are bamboo face towels good for sensitive skin?

Yes. Bamboo fibre is naturally hypoallergenic and softer than many man-made alternatives, and ours is woven gently enough for the most delicate skin. It also releases moisture quickly instead of staying damp, which keeps the towel fresher between uses. One extra tip for reactive skin: wash towels with a fragrance-free detergent, since fragrance residue can transfer to your face.
