We began by exploring the dominant colours on the fashion runways for Winter 2024, with Burgundy emerging as the clear favourite. This bold shade stole the spotlight in the Fall/Winter 2024-2025 collections, sparking a noticeable rise in online searches. 

However, at Weavve, our decision to introduce this hue wasn’t just about jumping on a trend. As we looked back over our previous collections, we realised we hadn’t yet featured a red. With the festive season fast approaching, what better time to add one? Red, synonymous with holiday cheer from Christmas to Chinese New Year and other occasions like weddings, felt like a natural fit.

Of course, we didn’t overlook the importance of analysing consumer response. British Vogue has already highlighted deep reds like Merlot and Burgundy as the season’s rising stars. In fact, by September 2024, Google recorded a five-year peak in maroon interest, and burgundy searches skyrocketed by 666% on Lyst. It's clear that burgundy is solidifying its place as a versatile staple, not only in fashion but also in interiors.

Neutrals remain a top choice, thanks to their timeless appeal and enduring relevance, reducing the need for frequent updates.
